It’s been a week since MIX09 started, and since then, many of us Blenders have been busy writing blog
It would be nice is Blend underlined invalid XAML or links to events that do not exist. Common causes of "parser errors" errors, especially when copying and pasting controls.
Will Blend 3 support Silverlight 2 projects? Or will they need to be upgraded?

Blend 3 does underline invalid XAML :) Blend 3 does not support Silverlight 2 project, you will have the option of upgrading the projects with Blend 3.
