I was also impressed at the Windows Mobile 5.0 features built in. If you run the app on WM5.0 you can search for one of your contacts - uses the new managed POOM and ContactPicker, and show your current location using the WM5.0 GPS API. It's a really cool showcase app, I'm also waiting with bated breath for the UK maps coverage!

I tried this on HP iPAQ hx4705, but it didn't seem to work very well. It's very slow even in my home WLAN and I can't seem to navigate on the map at all. But those satellite images look very impressive on 4.0" VGA screen!

Anyway, it's easy to see enormous potential for this kind of services, and I guess already this would've been very useful while I was spending my holidays in Miami Beach and Orlando last christmas. I assume it should be very easy to connect this kind of applications with GPS data too?
