I'm pretty disapointed that i-mate seems to have left out the A2DP stereo bluetooth profile. I have heard rumours that a lot of OEM's are having troubles getting this to work successfully so it may be a while before anyone gets the updated bluetooth profiles.

Jason, are you able to shed any light on this issue?

Thx for providing the ftp link! I could not register on the main site with a US T-Mobile branded MDA IMEI#.  Which file contains the AKU2 update?  Are there any special instructions to install the software and keep the device functioning with T-Mobile service?  Thanks in advance.

Look for a 57MB file called K-JAM_WWE_216901_2169101_020710_ship.zip

If you're using it on a network that either isn't included in the extended setup options, or that makes a .cab available with its settings you'll be doing a manual recreation of things like GPRS/EDGE connections (so make sure you have the details)

Sadly beyond including push email and some slight performance improvements no-one seems to have any actual details of what AKU2 actually contains (either in the basic MS supplied form or the i-mate tweaked version)

Thanks.  I downloaded that exact file which contains a ROM updater.  Unfortunately the updater seems to check whether the device is an iMate branded K-Jam and will not allow you to proceed if it is not.  So, it seems T-Mobile MDA users are out of luck and need to wait for a ROM update direct from T-Mobile.  This sucks, if anyone else has a solution, please post.

Can you comment on A2DP? How come it didn't make it in this update? Will all HTC AKU2.0 updates be released without A2DP? I personally want A2DP more than push mail.

I received an email reply from i-mate yesterday saying that they were working on integrating the A2DP profile for the K-JAm which will be in the form of a  ROM update "soon".

From what I have seen some of the other OEM's with HTC Wizrd based devices (QTek etc) have also had technical issues with this.
Users in the forums are saying that A2DP is too resource intensive for the K-JAM's 200MHz OMAP850 CPU which is why there has been delays.

Jason, any comments on whether this info would be accurate?

"Beta", reference your comment to unlock the device fro T-Mobile and then applying the update.  Have you tried this with the O2 branded one or do you know if it will work if Iunlock the O2 one?
