When / If MS can offer the depth of security / policy the BES can I'll smile about the thought of a large corporate deployment.  Until then (and no I don't want to purchase yet another MS system to manage, which increases your TCO greatly) It's Blackberry.

Blackberry only suffered outage for 2 times a year and this time they are able to inform user at the very first place..for windows mobile push email, countless of outage due to device and server...

I still prefer the powerful platform of Windows Mobile.

Jason - we all know where your loyalties lie (for very obvious reasons!), but RIM bashing(*) is the kind of thing I'd expect to see on fanboy forums, rather than here in your excellent blog.

I've lost count of the number of times you've tried to get me to switch, and your solution is getting better and better, but I have to agree with Paul.  Even after this comment you then show the cnbc survey which, as even you point out, is completely meaningless but is another pop from you.

I want to believe, and value your opinion, and was sat next to you and shared the joke when the noc died while we were at last years gartner conference and they had no view, but you do risk a credibility loss by not acknowledging the 'albeit hopefully only' current failings of your software.

Bring me a proven system, with a tco as low (and please don't send that calculator again, its skewed immensely) as rim and I'll show you plenty of organisations who would switch.

And for those of you who think this is just another rim fanboy, I have over 20000 win mobile ruggedised devices in my estate, doing a great job for on campus users so am quite agnostic, just trying to say it's not all sweetness and light in either camp!

Jason - I realise the point that you're trying to make, I just think that your constant sniping at RIM is somewhat at odds with your normally very professional manner.

Windows Mobile and BlackBerry both have strengths and weaknesses. Indeed, NOC based architectures have both strengths and weaknesses. It's old news, and there's a big enough market place out there for you both todo well.

One day I'll have to drag you along to a session for a few pints doen the pub with an opposite number from RIM... (without PR minders present!)
