The new i-mate devices have been long awaited and the 8150 is the first device I've had a chance to try from the new range. The device itself is average in size

Jason Langridge reviews the i-mate Ultimate 8150 | Mobility Site

PingBack from http://mobilitysite.com/2008/01/jason-langridge-reviews-the-i-mate-ultimate-8150/

I haven't heard anything about this device...I'll definitely have to look into it. Thanks for the info.

It should be possible to implement, but guess it wouldn't.

Using the 12 key kbd is, as you say, is a bit awkward. However, I hope the version you used had a tuned repeat rate for letters (6-8ms) which makes it better to write with. When using it in the dark one can be confused where to press on the key as they are very wide. The 8502 is...good! (or just a killer, to be honest). Unfortunately it only have QVGA, but then again - VGA requires more battery - bigger battery - more weight..

I'll have to try and give the 8502 a try if I can get my hands on one :)

looks like mobileplanet is shipping at least a few of these out... (as well as the 6150--i hope this means i-mate can focus efforts on getting the 9502 out the door)

I read some disappointed reviews about the ultimate series ..

all of these reviews agreed that there is some slowness in running programs , problems in bluetooth , many hangs daily espcially after disconnecting the xga cable ..

I hope all of these errors can be solved with some updates ..

thanks ..
