Which version is the ROM update 1.93.4xxxxx ???

And also in which screen did you find this: "A random access bar is also added to the right hand edge of the phone screen to allow for easy selection of weather, countries and cities"

Hi, I have just tried to put my S/N into the HTC site to download the ROM update however it says that my "Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device. "

My ROM build is currently 1.37.405.1. Am I on the latest build?

Any more details about your experience would be very useful.

I've just tried to get this upgrade as well and received the same message. I've got an Orange HTC Diamond - is the upgrade only for original HTC Diamonds? The web site doesn't suggest that it is, as it warns that installing the updated ROM could remove provider-specific bits.

There is some information on XDA Developers about the ROM upgrade, although it is largely focussed on the Hong Kong version:

What is interesting is that the Orange HTC Diamond seems to have a fairly up-to-date Radio code, and *does* support the 850 band. However, the Weather module doesn't seem to have the random access bar as described.

Called Orange yesterday & they cant help me with a new rom update for my HTC Touch Diamond nor will HTC them selfs so im stuck with the old rom & no help from either.. :(

Leiby - the random access bar is in the Weather application so you can quickly find your country/city rather than scrolling down (a big problem for us in the UK!)

For the other folks who have Orange or other flavoured ROMs - it looks like the HTC ROM is limited to just HTC direct devices and not operator provided devices.

Well when an orange available rom is out there can someone please PM me the link at wooly_liverlad@hotmail.com, im really annoyed with the phone at the mo, im on my second one already after two weeks!!! by the way every htc sent out has been on the warning that there may be battery issues so if youve scratched damaged or straight dam ruined your phone all you need to do is ring up orange say the battery is getting red red hot, when they ask you what programmes or apps, say when using OPERA browser or on a phone call and if your phone is under a month old your guaranteed a brand new phone in 24 hours, not bad for Orange customer service. anyways has anyone noticed the really annoying black scrambled icons when you install anything on the phone ARGH, if only they hadnt rushed this it could have been perfect i would of waited if it would of meant getting a phone that had no errors, we wouldnt take it from Samsung Or Nokia so why take it from HTC, i know you cant do half the things with these brands but the Diamond doesnt even work well out the box, im sooooo disapointed

I have just picked up a cd from Orange having the new rom udate for the HTC touch diamond.I haven't tried that yet.......if any one has any comments whether that updated rom from orange is good for the unlocked versions?

Well I've had mine all of a week and I now have diamond number 4 (Orange) not impressed! I've had huge battery problems - getting between and hour and six hours of charge with very little useage, a yellowy line across the bottom of the screen, red hot when charging, messaging knackered (Telling me I've got messages when I haven't, not telling me when I have, dumping all the messages in one go, losing them etc!) I'm quite naffed off now but I guess I have plenty of time to decide what to do! I might have a look at the Omnia, anyone seen this and have an opinion on both? I am more than a little naffed off now, I have lost photo's three times because it refused to sync :-(

I am a very annoyed Orange Diamond Owner!

ive got a touch diamond as well, by the way i think there great. but theyve got so many issues that are hard to deal with. like my batteries getting hot and sometimes randomly my signal goes. also there are huge laggs, which make me turn it off and on like 8 times a day. oh yea it an orange one by the way so id be quite grateful if anyone could tell me the exact day of the orange ROM release or PM me when it comes out : mo_reza@hotmai.co.uk

Unfortunately i have had the same problem, the HTC rom update is only for non branded products (my htc has no orange branding other than the case) but you still can't get hold of it! Orange told me to "watch this space" i was not best pleased as i had specifically asked them when getting the phone whether i would be able to get the updates and they said it would be fine!!

i would also like to to point out though i have had no problems with the battery mine has lasted up to 4 days of heavy use without charging (using skype etc). also i havent had any issues as yet withe locking up/losing data etc!!
