I did find this website really amusing as it's scary how many people ask me a question and I submit a Search in Google or Live Search and find the answer they were looking for...

Today in the US it is the Thanksgiving Holiday when most Americans get together with their families and celebrate the harvest and express gratitude in general.

I've lost count of how many of my US friends have asked if we celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK (which we don't) but one good thing is I get a lot less email to wake up to :)

Whilst tidying my study I did think this video typified my problem - I do have too many gadgets :)
I've negotiated with my wife though and she doesn't complain about how many gadgets I have... similarly I don't count how many handbags/pairs of shoes she has!

I found this Celebrity Blackberry Sightings Website thinking..... why don't we have a Celebrity Windows Mobile site... then I stumble across this article from PocketNow talking about the product placement of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 in the new Knight Rider TV Series!

Good to see that when you have an indestructible car you still need the X1 for communication :)

NFL Schedules available to import into Outlook

For those of you who read my blog regularly you will probably be aware that I am a huge American Football fan. The NFL season kicks off this week which I’m really excited about!

I always like to have my team (sadly the St Louis Rams) games in my diary and I’ve been using Calendar Updates for a few years now. They have just published the NFL schedules for each team (or all teams) and whilst they cost $1.99 I find it much less hassle than copy/pasting from other services. With Calendar Updates you can quickly import the PST file into Outlook which will then sync with your device.

Each year I wait for the release of Madden NFL and this year it’s the 20th Anniversary edition (have I been playing the game for that long!)

There is also the fabled curse of Madden where the featured player on the cover of the game has their career impacted in some way....

Last year it was Vince Young who threw for only 9 TD’s and 17 Interceptions, In 2007 Shaun Alexander missed 6 games with a broken foot, Donovan McNabb was out from week 9, Michael Vick broke his leg and missed 11 games and more can be found on this great post HERE

This year the featured player is Brett Favre who ‘retired’ from the Green Bay Packers. Then ‘un-retired’ and got traded to New York Jets.

Unfortunately all the games are being distributed with the Green Bay uniform on! To overcome this you can download a new cover to print out and insert into your game!

With my daughter just a few days old I’ve slipped into the scary world of late night online purchases like I did with my son.

Sleep depravation and the ease of online access do nothing for your bank balance when you are continually confronted with gadgets that you feel could fundamentally impact your life.

This morning I awoke to the email confirmation of my order of the Sony Ebook reader. I did buy one of these in the US but had to return it as crazily the Sony online store only accepted US credit cards…

Waterstones in the UK are offering the Reader for pre-order for £199.

Now I just need to resist buying a Tonium Pacemaker….
