ComputerWorld Article - ISO moves Open XML to Balloting

Today, Eric Lai has reported that ISO is moving Open XML into the 5-month balloting period. The ISO process continues to move forward and the next few months will prove to be very interesting. Just as we saw in Eric's other story regarding the submissions from voting countries, the ISO process is structured to allow for concerns to be raised, and addressed. For different points of view to be heard and considered. In the 5 month balloting process, there will be more discussion about the technical considerations involved with document format standards. This is a healthy process and is sure to be constructive for all involved.
