MS TimeZone: Another useful/less utility

Working for an international company like Microsoft means I am often time zone challenged. I decided I needed the magic of software to help me overcome these difficulties and was surprised to find we make one of own multi-time zone clock applications! It's free and you can grab it here.

Yeah, it's quite a useful program. I've been running it since I saw it listed in the "Microsoft This Week" newsletter last week! It's really a nice and out of the way app! Cool :)

I'm one of travelin PC users with peers allaround World. I already have couple of alternative utilities to tackle that problem, however find this interesting (free of charge) alternative.

I'd suggest thou cople of things. First of all, some important major cities are missing in list (i.e. Buenos Aires). To the same point at least capitals of all countries should be listed.

All in all useful utility that needs further development...

Hi, I can't get it working. I installed it (Windows XP SP2) and I see the icon in the task bar. When I click on it > nothing happens. When I right click on it and clîck on Show my locations > nothing happens.

What is it supposed to do, other than showing an icon in the task bar?

I'm running WinXP SP2, and the DotNet SP 1.1, but the app doesn't work:
The icon is there, I can edit the setting, but the baloon shows no times at all, just the name of the app.
So, can you fix it?

When I add GMT to "My Locations" the time shows the time in London, instead. The problem? British Summer Time is 1 hour ahead of GMT.

Have you applied the registry hack to switch off balloon notifications? I had to re-enable them in the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\, I think. Then the "My Locations" balloon started working for me.
