Of Mice and Keyboards

If you haven't done so already, do yourself a favour and go check out the latest & greatest mice and keyboards from Microsoft. Wow. I must have been asleep for a couple of months or so because I was totally amazed by what's available these days. I was especially taken with the Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 6000. (You gotta love the model number on this one!) I love how it has a snap-in receiver; a total space-saver for road trips.

Earlier this year, I picked up the Optical Desktop with Fingerprint Reader for my home machine and I absolutely love it. This keyboard/mouse combo is awesome because its wireless and uses biometric data for authentication. (A total 10/10 on the coolness factor!) The fingerprint reader is great because the underlying software does all the heavy-lifting. I simply authenticate myself using my fingerprint and the software does the rest. As someone who has always worried about credential management, this rocks because I can now make my passwords and/or pass-phrases as cryptographically strong as possible without having to remember or even type them!
