Follow up Questions from Day 5 - Vancouver
What ever happen to ObjectSpaces? Someone had had asked me about this in one of the other cities during the Ask The Experts but it had completely slipped my mind. I thought it was interesting and may be something others wondered about but had forgotten about it. During the Q+A in Vancouver someone asked this very question. Essentially after reviewing the functionality and scenarios enabled by ObjectSpaces and WinFS Microsoft decided to concentrate on providing one object relational technology in Windows. This combined functionality will ship in Vista. Therefore in order to avoid having developers choose between two api's that provided overlapping functionality ObjectSpaces is not part of the .Net Framework 2.0.
