Team Foundation Server Australian User Group Tour

Taking a lesson from Rob Caron, Prashant Sridharan and Michael Leworthy, I am celebrating the pending launch of Team Foundation Server with a tour of Australia visiting customers and the local developer user groups.  If you are interested in one of these meetings or attending one of these user groups please see Chuck’s blog for more details*.

He has also asked that I include my biography for benefit of the would-be attendees:

I’ve been the Lead Program Manager for VSTS for the past 2 ½ years.  In this role, I coordinate the release activities for all of Team System including our upcoming release of Team Foundation Server.  As a result I’m involved with each of the teams shipping VSTS, but most directly the team building the Team Foundation since this is the integration point for all of Team System.  It’s exciting to see the excitement VSTS is generating both within Microsoft as well as the .NET development community.  Before working on VSTS, I was a founding member of the Visual C++ team way back in the early 90’s (and even QuickC for Windows before that).  I took some time off between working on VC++ and VSTS (a little over 7 years) to start a family, consult with ISVs on how to ship software, work for an Internet start up and teach 6th grade.  I returned to Microsoft because I just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to be on the team that helped expand Visual Studio beyond ‘just’ writing code.  It's been a great experience.

*Please note these dates are very tentative!

Hi Jeff,
I'm really interested in catching you on your tour of Australia (in particular, I hope you make it to Adelaide!)

However, I've looked at Chuck's blog and there's nothing obvious there about a TFS launch tour or dates (tentative or otherwise!)

Dave -

I'm really excited about visiting Australia. Take a look here (http://blogs.msdn.com/charles_sterling/archive/2006/01/18/514142.aspx) for Chuck's latest thoughts on my schedule. I'm sure it'll change somewhat but it's a fine first approximation.

Well i looked at his blog, but obviously not very well :-(

I've asked Chuck about Adelaide as an option, as it isn't on the current list.

I work at the University of South Australia and I know we're interested in TFS for our various development teams.

Can you point me in the direction of all those TS presentations you had running on your desktop during the SDNUG meet, but unfortuntaely didn't have time to show us?
