ANyway i have a question about javascript (window.open) is embedded in email in OutLook 2003.

I've created emails and sent around with javascript using window.open to open the page in new window. There's a problem when i tried to open the email in OutLook Web Access, i also checked the source-code it seems like the OWA stripping off the javascript.
For example :
the code should be like this :

<A
href="javascript:window.open('http://OPEN My PAGE','','');window.resizeTo(screen.availWidth,screen.availHeight);window.self.opener=window.self;window.self.close();">Please Click on Here</A>

but when view in OWA, it is truncated to :
<A
href=" ">Please Click on Here</A>

This doesn't happend if open in OutLook from your desk top.
Is this another feature of popup blocker in XP 2002 SP2 ???

re: i continue

That is not a Pop-up Blocker feature. That is most likely OWA, but you would have to check with them. :)

re: i continue

It appears the dates and times (server modified and user accessed) are different depending on the index.dat file reviewed.

Can you confirm the following?

Daily MSHist files

Srv Mod: Last visited, (+/- GMT offset)
Lst Acc: Last visited, local time

Weekly MSHist files

Srv Mod: Last visit (+/- GMT offset)
Lst Acc: Time hist file was created

Cookies:

Srv Mod: Cookie created
Lst Acc: Cookie last accessed

History\Index.dat

Srv Mod: Last accessed
Lst Acc: Last accessed

Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\index.dat:
Srv Mod: Server modified
Lst Acc: Last accessed

re: i continue

haz--

Index.dat is only modified by the client, so I'm not sure exactally how to answer. There is some duplication and no central authoritive source. However, there is code you can write to enumerate history entries. I am planning on posting some sample code as part of my index.dat series, but I do not have it ready for general consumption yet. Basically you need to create the webbrowser control, CLSID_InternetExplorer, then QS for IUrlHistoryStg or IUrlHistoryStg2 and use that to create an enumerator. See MSDN documentation for those interfaces.

re: i continue

Interesting, I was looking at offline file analysis, however I appreciate the information.

re: i continue

The internal structure of the files are not published, because they might change. The problem is there are multiple index.dat files and IUrlHistoryStg only deals with the main UrlHistory container, not the auxillary ones that back the History folder shell namespace.

The workaround on the page, using IContextMenu, will work. You can also just go enumerate the history folder using standard win32 APIs and delete it. The overlap between UrlHistory and the History Folder is a bizarre grey area.

Internet Explorer History | keyongtech

PingBack from http://www.keyongtech.com/2352210-internet-explorer-history
