Client installation fails

Symptom: Any client msi installation reports errors

Check:

First check what the installation error messages show. If this does not het you you can get additional installation log information via starting the installation in verbose mode via the command:

msiexec /lv* a.log /i setupname.msi

Office Outlook Addin check

Symptom: to be checked what happens if Outlook Addin is missing or disabled

Check:

Outllook->Tools->Options->Other->Advanced Options->Addin Manager(?)... Describe procedure how to verify if it is enabled. What are reasons that it gets disabled. Describe registry key to check Addin status.

 

Check versions of client components (see first level procedures document).
