Halo and Halo 2
I started playing Halo a couple of weeks ago, theoretically in preparation for Halo 2’s release. Also, I missed the first batch of Halo 2 in the Microsoft company store, and ended up backordered. Then I discovered that they have an old billing address for me, and I need to send email (!) to change it. So playing Halo seemed like a good stepping stone.
Then I played Halo 2 against Jeannie’s uncle and two cousins on Thanksgiving. I got my ass kicked. By the younger cousin – he’s practiced way too much. (I’d like to blame my poor performance on a stomach overfilled with turkey, etc, but that seems like a stretch.) Now I’m really looking forward to actually getting a copy of Halo 2 and playing with Xbox live. Funny, I haven’t been much interested in games since I was in high school … a fond return to my past, I guess.
