Peter Moore, corporate vice president of Worldwide Marketing and Publishing for Xbox at Microsoft, also announced that triple Academy Award winners Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh will serve as the executive producers of “Halo,” the upcoming feature film based on Microsoft’s phenomenally popular video game. This unique alliance between Universal Studios, 20th Century Fox, Microsoft, and Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh promises a step forward in motion picture production. “Halo” will benefit from the experience and resources of the film studios, from Microsoft’s groundbreaking vision and from Jackson’s and Walsh’s creative sensibilities and expertise in both traditional filmmaking and the world of emerging digital technologies.

Strangely, one of the things I am looking forward to most for the XBox 360
is the inclusion of a real music visualizer. Frankly, since
switching off WinAmp more than a few years ago I have been missing
decent visualizations. The ones available for Media Player just
don't cut it. There are some video's of what Minter is doing on
XBox 360 floating around the web, and from what I have seen it looks
absolutely awesome.

Ok I guess we are on. My name is John Gallardo (clever that, it matches the title). As of today I have been working at Microsoft for just over 2 years as an SDET (Software Design Engineer in Test) in the SQL Server Engine team. Most of my work has been related to the new XML Datatype that we are introducing in SQL Server 2005. I spend most of the day working with things like XQuery, XML Schema and their interactions with the "core" relational engine in SQL Server.

At any rate, I hope that you find some of the information that I throw up here useful. I am going to try to update at least weekly and provide answers to common questions that I see floating around concerning the XML Datatype in SQL Server 2005, along with various other areas which I am interested in.
