Silverlight + IE8: Web Version of Cheesesteak Wit

Recently, our New England-based team partnered the Institute of Healthcare Improvement (IHI.org) to create a new solution to help health workers find best practice information to improve patient care and support.    The solution is called the IHI Improvement Map and can be accessed @ http://www.ihi.org/imap/tool/

Silverlight powers the front end and helps user easily search and find the information they need:

An IE8 accelerator provides a simple way to cross reference this IHI solution and database from any web page.   A fan of the site can easily add the IE8 accelerator to the browser via a quick download.  To access the IHI database, the user selects a common health term like “heart”, right-clicks, and selects IHI Improvement Map from the menu.

Bob Familiar has posted a step-by-step abstract of how this solution was built @ http://blogs.msdn.com/innov8showcase/archive/2009/10/28/ihi-shines-silverlight-on-healthcare-improvement.aspx.
