>> How do I migrate my source code from CVS or Subversion to Team Foundation Server?

I tried to SVN-2-TFS by a company called Kyrosoft and it worked very well for my CVS code migration to TFS. Essentially what I did was - I converted cvs2svn, which is a very stable release and then converted from SVN to TFS using SVN-2-TFS. SVN is free anyway.

Check out the trial version as well.

Here's the URL: http://www.kyrosoft.com/products/SVN-2-TFS.htm

Cheers,

John

I got a small problem.

Somebody was working on a checkout file from TFS. Then that guy left without cheking it in. Now his id is disabled. How can we solve this issue.

??

Thanks

This is different than opening up a query in Excel that is directly tied to VSTF (publish from sheet directly back to VSTF).

I want to put one link to each requirement we have into a separate cell in Excel and when that link is selected, it will take the user to VSTF instance and open the requirement.

thanks

Until there is a tool that enables us to fully convert our CVS repositories to TFS, including branch/tag information, it looks like we will have to stay with CVS

Have you looked at the CVS to TFS migration tool from Timely Migration (www.timelymigration.com)?
