My first blog post!

To: 中国的SQL Server用户，

今年是我第三次参加微软中国技术教育大会(MS China TechEd 2005)． 每一次我都发现苦于时间太短,我   

  1. 无法讲完所有我想讲的内容
  2. 无法回答所有听众的问题
  3. 无法很好解释需要用数据和程序来说明的问题
  4. 无法让所有听众分享对某个好问题的回答

当公司建议我们开设自己的博客,从而增加我们和用户之间的交流时,我突然发现了解决这些问题的方法:

   开一个专门有关SQL Server的中文博客.

从1994年第一次上alt.chinese.text以来我在互联网上就只潜水,不上浮,最大的原因就是对输入中文的不自信. 不过这次我打算试试[:)]

先登一下我的简历:
刘劲浩: 1992就读于Stevens Institute of Technology, New Jersey并获计算机硕士学位. 1993年至1996年, 作为软件开发工程师就职于Princeton Softech. 参与设计和开发Relational Tools, 一个可以运行在DB2, Oracle, Sybase, XDB等数据库平台上的关系性数据管理工具. 96至1997,作为独立IT顾问商就职于Prudential Insurance. 参与设计和开发基于Oracle 数据库平台的中间件. 1997至今就职于微软SQL Server事业部. 参与设计和测试SQL Server查询处理器, SQLXML和XML Database等功能．

我将陆续写或翻译一些介绍SQL Server 2005新功能的文章. 当然是从我最熟悉的XML功能讲起. 也欢迎大家给我提要求,告诉我你最想知道什么.

希望大家"顶"我[:)]

看到中文好亲切, 你是在REDMOND上班吗? 我一直想在课余时间学SQL, 可是一直苦于没有时间, 不过终究是要学的, 到时候还要请多指教才是.

I am a DBA in Chicago area, focusing on SQL Server also. I've written technical articles for SqlServerCentral for a number of years now. I've been reading blogs for more than 3 years. This is my first experient in blog writing. So we are on the same boat:)

A non-Sql server related question for you. How do you type Chinese? Do you use Windows Chinese edition? Or do you use some other Chinese input software? I heard ZiGuang was good and got it up and running on my desktop about 1 year ago, with some trouble. I recently got a laptop, but I have not been able to configure ZiGuang successfully.

I am using 全拼输入法 which comes with WinXP and Win2003 servers. I am Microsofter:). It works OK. I never use 紫光 before.

I am glad to make a Chinese friend who is the expert of SQL too:). I will drop you email later.
