&lt;p&gt;In your case the problem is related to using pre-compiled headers. When you pre-compile them, Entity Framework calculates a hash of metadata (which includes csdl,ssdl and msl information), stores it with the views and compares later when metadata is loaded.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You're getting this error since injecting a provider into SSDL invalidates the hash.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can try following instructions in &amp;quot;Alternative injection method&amp;quot; section and generating pre-compiled views using modified ssdl file. Let me know if this works for you.&lt;/p&gt;
