I am so happy that this finally happened because I was one of the people who asked for that and this reminds me of the time I was desperately waiting for any news about Microsoft recruiting trips to Egypt before I get the Offer. I hope that this post be a periodical post say every quarter in order to keep the link alive with the international candidates.

Do you recruit people in India for the US offices? I understand MS has dev centres in India but I am sure there a lot like me who would also like to apply for both the US and India offices.

I am originally from Pakistan but have been living in the UK for past 2 years now and will be living here for another year or two. If I want to work with MS, which address should I send my cv to?

How often do you guys do these recruitments? I don't feel like I'm ready to apply yet but, on the other hand, I'm not willing to wait forever for another opportunity.
Should I expect you to be in South America again in, say, 6 months from October?

A really helpful post, thank you.  I have been reading around the blog for a bit and am trying to figure out if the email address above is purely for people who want to work as SDE or SDET and who are coming out of college.

I have a few years experience and have spotted a couple of positions in the US which really interest me, should I apply directly through the US website or via the email above, stating the positions I am interested in?

You are coming to Pakistan in September 2006 and I have already emailed my resume to pakcv@microsoft.com.

But is there any way I can make sure that atleast my resume will be read, even if not selected? I have been working for past 5+ years as program manager and I really want to be atleast interviewed by Microsoft since I do have extensive experience of managing projects across Middle East and African region and have worked with renowned multi-national companies.

I have successfully completed my 4 years bachelors degree in Computer Science earlier this year and I am interested in applying through pakcv@microsoft.com. However, due to an unfortunate turn of events, my university has cancelled my degree (it is a long story but the reasons are not educational). I want to ask that can I still apply if I can provide proof that I did indeed complete my degree before the university decided that I won't be getting a paper-version of the degree or is it necessary to produce a paper-version degree to secure an offer from MS, if I get that far.

I would hope that when I read "MS is an equal opportunity employer" at numerous places on this blog, it means that my resume would at least be given fair consideration and I'll be given a chance to explain the reasons behind the cancellation of my degree by my university.

P.S. Shoaib Akhtar is not my real name but I hope you understand that I have to cover for the case when I apply sometime after another 4 years when I have got the degree for the second time around.
