Hi, my name is Anne Cheng and I’ve been with MS Staffing for the past six years…and I’m pretty excited to be a guest blogger for this site!    I started out at MS as an intern and knew right away that this company was where I wanted to develop my career. 

I spent my first five years with the College Recruiting Team and just moved to the International Recruiting Team this past December.  I have now assumed Priya’s role, in which my focus is on working with the Middle Eastern, Pakistani, Indian, and South African candidates who are interested in North American-based opportunities.  I have to say that since I started this role, it’s quickly become clear that this is one of the best regions to work with.  The people I’ve met have all been incredibly passionate and smart.  My only wish is that we had unlimited H1B’s...  Of course, you’ll find that all of the recruiters on my team feel the same about their regions.

A little about me – my parents are from Taiwan and I was born in Amman, Jordan.  My wildly creative parents thought that since the name “Anne” looks a bit like “Amman” that that would be the best name for me.  I spent some time in Antigua and moved to the US when I was five years old.   I graduated from the University of Washington with an International Business degree, so traveling the world and marketing amazing opportunities to the brightest candidates, truly is my dream job.  It’s really been so rewarding.  

I’m eager to share more information regarding International Recruiting efforts around the world to help introduce international candidates to their recruiting contacts.  It’s always nice to put a face to an email address.  I’m also happy to share my perspective on things like Seattle, unique MS opportunities, and especially tips/tricks for interested International candidates. 

This will be my first time blogging, so I’m happy to receive comments and feedback.  I look forward to providing more context to the complicated world of recruiting!
