The January 2008 TechNet Cable Guy article in TechNet magazine, "DNS Enhancements in Windows Server 2008," describes the new features of the Domain Name System (DNS) Server service in Windows Server 2008, including background zone loading, enhancements to support Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), support for read-only domain controllers (RODCs), and the ability to host global single-label names.
