Where's Joel this Fall/Winter - beyond
Thought I'd give you a run down of some upcoming conferences and tell you what's coming up and where I'll be.
I'm going to do an incognito appearance at the Puget Sound User Group this Thursday. Going to see AC and get some free pizza.
Next week I'm doing a SharePoint Fundamentals talk at the Microsoft Project Conference 2007 in Seattle.
For the Nov 5-8 SharePoint Connections Conference, Shane Young and Mike Watson are taking my regular sessions and I'm *sure* they will do well. I've left these in good hands. :) Lawrence will be representing the TPM (Technical Product Management) team. Sorry to those who were hoping to see me there.
For TechEd Developer in Barcelona, Spain, Ryan Duguid and Michal Gideoni will be representing our team.
The following week on the other hand, we're going to be having a blast at the SOLD OUT, Tech Ed IT Forum Europe in Barcelona, Spain. Arpan Shah, Mike Fitzmaurice, Richard Riley, Shane Young, Todd Klindt, Nicola Young, Richard Taylor, Kimmo Forss, Bill English, it's going to be a huge party... literally. I just booked Tablao Flamenco Cordoba for the MVP/SharePoint Speaker party. (Look for the evite.com invite.) I'm managing the booth with Nicola and I've been slaving to produce the coolest swag ever in SharePoint history. (Ok, so it might still compete with the monkey sling shot.) Look out for the new improved "SharePoint Deployment Guide and Checklists" goes to the printer tomorrow with the hope that we'll have it at both weeks. Also, some cool MOSS stickers for your laptop. I plan to save some of both of these for the SharePoint Conference and on MSMarket for internal folks (yep MSMarket ID will be on the back based on feeback). I'll give you a link to the softcopy as soon as this becomes live on TechNet. I guess you can tell I'm a bit excited about this conference.
SharePoint Solutions Information Worker Conference Feb 4-6 - Not currently on my list, but as far as IW conferences go, should be the best :) Say hi to the Bierman for me.
TechReady6 - internal. Michal is heading this up on our team and just opened up for sessions. I'm sure I'll be doing something there. Look for the Windows Server 2008 HOLs I'm working on with Patrick Gaul.
Check out this...- Announcing the 2008 Office Developer Conference! Since I'm an IT Pro I haven't looked at this yet, but it looks cool. 2008 Office Developer Conference
SharePoint Conference 2008 March 2-6 (Seattle) - Wouldn't miss it. Neither will Bill. By the way: The fee to attend the Conference is $1100 USD, but if you are one of the first thousand to register, you qualify for the early bird discount rate of $800. Register today and save over 25%!
SharePoint Conferences WW - (Hope to be there. More TBD.)
TechEd Orlando 2008 - currently planning on it.
I'm already thinking about TechEd South East Asia 2008, that was a great time. I hope to go back there. ;)
Be sure to check out the videos of my travels, the monkey on my head, the monkey fire dance gone wrong, and the Asia Travel Adventures... complete with background 80's music and a bit of Brass Monkey.
