Why are airlines such a mess ?

So here I sit in an airport again. LaGuardia this time in NYC (Ajax World ended yesterday) Every flight I’ve been scheduled on in the last 2 weeks has been either canceled or delayed. (A total of 7 cancelations.) Judging by the announcements, there

The Intercontental Super Heavyweight Championship

I’ve been involved in the sport of Kickboxing for over 30 years. Up until this January I owned a Gym and now am a (somewhat) silent partner in one. This guy, Jason “The Trooper” Bonacorsi is one of the fighters that I’ve trained fort about 10 years. He’s

I've been tagged.

Susan Wisowaty, my friend and former team mate on the MSDN Events team has TAGGED me. Tagging is a bit like a chain letter, but with some redeeming social value. The idea is that after reveling five things about yourself you get to compel 5 other people

She Asked me - Do I Look Fat ?

My office is across the driveway from my home, and three days a week, when my beautiful wife Jill loads the kids in our mini-van to take them to pre-school - I run down from my office to kiss the girls goodbye. This morning my wife asked me “Do I Look

My first week in the New Role

Well, last week was my first week on the Web Platform and Tools Product Team. I spent it in Redmond, primarily in “Top Secret” meetings with another software company. Since this both a new role for me, as well as a new role at Microsoft, I thought I’d

2006 – Who am I and why am I here.

So I was a crummy holiday blogger. December was an extreme month for me and I burnt the candle at both ends. Ultimately, I got pretty sick. I spent the holidays catching up and engaging in my annual period of introspection. 2005 was a great year in many

Why a lawn tractor is a business expense ?

So I admit it. After my Children, my Wife, and Microsoft, yard work just doesn’t fit into my schedule very oft. Add that to the fact that I pretty much hate doing it and procrastination starts to figure in. Problem: My Wife is very into the “Groomed Yard”

VerizonWireless - You Suck !

So, I’m home with Pneumonia, and my wife is confined to bed rest after having surgery, but….. I had to make a trip to the pharmacy to pick up some more of the medication they put me on for my lungs. The pharmacy is right across the street from the VerizonWireless

Another example of how working at Microsoft ROCKS !!

I just woke up after the closest thing to a nights sleep I’ve had in Months and I confess to being somewhat heavily medicated. On with the post….. Microsoft is the #1 Software Company on the planet, and as a result, it’s become fashionable to hate Microsoft

BOOK: Good to Great (Jim Collins)

BOOKS: Good to Great (Jim Collins) I just finished reading "Good to Great" for the second time. As I recall, I first read it a couple of years ago and thought it was a fine book, but it didn't especially GRAB me. Early this December (2004) the entire
