Check out Kenny Kerr's new "Windows with C++" column in MSDN Magazine
Seeing that despite the success of the .NET Famework, "there are still plenty of scenarios where it makes more sense to use native C++," Kerr's new Windows with C++ column will be focusing on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 development using native C++. This time, he's looking at Vista's enhancements to existing controls. Take a look.

Welcome to the Visual C++ Site Manager's Blog

Welcome. I'm John Boylan, the site manager for MSDN's Visual C++ Developer Center. I'm starting this blog to alert Visual C++ developers to changes to the site and new developments in Visual C++ content.

I'm new to the site, and I've begun to look around to see what can be done to make it stronger. Today, we added an "MFC Classes Quick Guide" to the home page of the United States version of the site, with links to some of the most-used base classes. We hope it makes navigation a little easier.

Down the road, we'll be making more changes, and we'll be loking for more and better ways to improve the experience of Visual C++ developers as they come to the dev center.
