Unfortunately Microsoft seems to be totally ignoring the audio market and force developers with interest in it to use legacy technology.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Here's what you can do with Flash:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Doing something like that in .NET/Silverlight could be very challenging even for Microsoft own .NET experts due to the lack of suitable API's (without pinvoke) and unpredictable nature of garbage collections.&lt;/p&gt;
