Developer and Designer News for April

Hi lots to talk about this month.  The biggest news of course is the launch of our cross browser/ cross platform technology known as Silverlight.  This was announced at NAB 2007 but there is more to come.  Make sure you follow the news releases from our Mix Conference where more details will be shared.

We recently announced the Singapore Regional Architect Forum (RAF). RAF is Microsoft’s premier gathering of strategic architects and other key influencers from enterprises around South East Asia.

Another event that has been finalized is our local ReMix which will showcase a lot of the material from the Vegas show…although without the dancers. Also do not mix our MEDC conference happening on June 8th.

Expression Media Encoder has been announced and a trial download will soon be available.  This looks like a great tool to compliment Silverlight and rich media applications.  Check out this channel 9 video where the concept of tagging Key frames is discussed and a great puzzle demo is shown.  Tagging key frames in the video stream will allow the Silverlight host to respond to them by raising an event that you can hook into to animate the experience…WOW!
