J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and .NET Web Services

So, Chase went with .NET to retool is huge commerical card platform called PaymentNet (see the story here).

What pleases me most about these stories is not that the customer has decided to go with .NET and Windows 2003 Server, a sign that they were persuaded by the value proposition vis-a-vis their needs. No. The pleasing part is that the customer is able to see the changes they needed to make to their business and then find a way to technically make it happen- to be part of that. These are things that make it really fun to come to work. Thanks, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. for making my day.

Second Rock Thought for the day: A great band from the 90's was Sunny Day Real Estate. Their most well-known song, "Seven", still holds up after these years. I just heard it while completing this blog entry. Also, the answer is Yes, regarding my previous post. Julee Cruise is most well known for the intro music for Twin Peaks, but the whole album is incredibly good. Check it out here, "Floating Into the Night".

Rock on
