Microsoft Office Smart Tags and Searching Outlook Data

I wrote another article: Search Inbox Data Using Smart Tags in Word 2003. Basically, I wrote this because I love Outlook integration, and I wanted something that was not built into Office 2003. I wrote a smart tag that searches my inbox data in Exchange using a word I have typed in Word as the search term. Here's what my smart tag menu looks like (I have "MSDN" as the search term here):

The smart tag then looks through my inbox for any messages that contain "MSDN" in the subject (I could look for this in any field in the Exchange schema for the target directory).

Check it out.

Rock Thought for the day:  I confess that I like the album by the Killers. It has definite echoes from bands I was hearing in the late 80's, early 90's (Cure, Depeche Mode, etc.). This is not a bad thing, and the Killers seem to wear it on their sleeve, but this sleeve is anything but threadbare. They have their own style. It should also be noted that the Cure have a new album and are on tour. I bought the new album, and I really enjoyed it. It's a complete hit. I also understand that Depeche Mode is putting together a new offering. I liked the last one, "Exciter" as well.

Rock on

Oh I totally agree with you about "The Killers". Over the last year I have noticed that a lot of bands have been getting into touch with their inner classic alternative rock, synth child. The vibe of what made bands like Depeche Mode, The Cure etc.. so fucking great!
