Office and a short, bald man

Webcast: Creating a multi-tier application with VSTO 2005

In about 20 minutes, I'll be doing a Webcast on how to create a multi-tier app with VSTO 2005.

Good times.

Man, my blog has been stale. I think of it several times a day. Bottom line: I'm working on too many projects at work. It's affecting more than just my professional equilibrium. For example, I just barely finished going through personal mail from February. The stack was huge. I have five children, and so I give them as much of my day as I can. I sleep and eat somewhere in between it all...I think.

I extend a heart-felt thanks to the people who have emailed me and encouraged me to keep my blog more up-to-date. It inspires me. You guys are all awesome. Customers energize me.

I'm working on another chapter for my book, and that is good. I have plenty to blog about regarding Office Open XML. I also just finished whittling my inbox downn from 800 messages to 200 (it took a whole day to do this responsibly). It's always the first step I take to get back to normal.

rockthought

Rock Thought for the Day: I listened to Brad Paisley's "Mud on the tires" album on my way into work. As you know, I love rock and roll- loud, heavy, intense. For those of you who love guitar work, you must listend to Brad Paisley's picking. It is amazing. He flat picks and rock picks as well as anyone around. He'll never get listed with guitar gods because he's a country performer according to the pop charts. But, he's truer to the roots of rock guitar than most of the guys shredding today. Go Brad, and

Rock On

Hi John,

Very informative webcast, thank you! You mentioned that the source code for the demonstrations might be placed on msdn "at some point." I'm interested in looking at the source code - is it available yet?

Cheers,

Daniel

You are so awesome. I LOVE BRAD PAISLEY. He is one of my favorite musicians. There are so many country musicians that can play the guitar well and that are unrecognized that it is not right. I love checking your blog and seeing what is going on with your life. I hope you, Carolyn and the boys are doing well. I am planning to come with my mom and my dad to visit you this summer for your birthday. Until then, have a good day!
Love You Lots,
