MSDN/TechNet is looking for a strong database developer

The IT Pro & Developer Experience Online (IDEO) group is looking for a talented, motivated, and experienced developer to play a key role on our Customer Intelligence initiative. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical and problem solving skills to help build a reporting system on customer experiences as determined by a set of scorecard metrics.

Expectations

·         Work with program managers and the microsoft.com Business Intelligence team to identify and collect customer usage data on our web properties using WebTrends, ASP.NET and other related technologies

·         Interface with other Microsoft teams which provide us with such customer data

·         Collaborate with other members of the team to deliver a SQL based end-to-end scorecard generation solution for MSDN/TN and Learning based on the data collected

·         Implement features based on the result of the analysis to improve our customer experiences

·         Participate in design and code review

·         Attend at least one week of training each year to acquire new skills related to work

·         Contribute to the team’s overall effectiveness by making suggestions to improve processes

·         Meet or exceed quality and delivery commitments

Skills

·         Solid .NET development skills: C#, ASP.NET, XML, Visual Studio 2005

·         SQL Server 2005 / 2000

·         Large enterprise deployment experience in complex environments

·         Experience with WebTrends a plus

·         Must have good oral communication skills and technical documentation / diagramming skills

·         Demonstrate good knowledge of development methodologies and be able to leverage them during all stages of product development.

Education and Experience

·         3-5 years experience and a BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS, Business or equivalent experience
