And it's Free! I was impressed.

This would have been extremely useful last week when I was out of the country and my phone was out of comission. I was scared to turn my phone back on after it being off for 4 straight days and sure enough - I had a virtual ton of voice mail.

Side Note: It's funny - I don't think anyone actually listens to the voice mail prompt. Even with an "out of the country - try my email" message, people leave me a lot of voice mail. I even got one that was a telemarketer offering services for SRT Solutions when the prompt also stated that I work for Microsoft.

Announced in Barcelona, Spain this morning - WM6 will be hitting the streets in the second quarter of 2007. There re a ton of new features but the ones that are the biggest deal are the ones that you won't see in most of the demos. Yes there's new and better email, calendaring and more but the exciting things for me are in the underlying capabilities and security layers. There's a lot with new storage card encryption, much better certificate management and Exchange server policies. Those bits add up to exciting new things like being able to read IRM mail on your mobile.

This is amazing. Senator Carl Kruger from NY is trying to get legislation passed that will ban electronic devices while crossing the street. You could face up to a $100 fine for crossing the street. That's not while driving - that's while walking!

His impetus for this legislation is that 3 people have been killed from Brooklyn in the past year because they stepped in front of a car while wearing headphones or talking on a cell phone.

I understand that this is a problem but is that a "National Epidemic" that requires legislation?

We will have to hang up every block while walking. Take off our headphones to cross the street. Have we really reached the point in US history where we need to legislate looking both ways before crossing the street?
