Microsoft Action Pack

Many of our Registered Partners currently subscribe to Action Pack, our quarterly toolkits of software and sales and marketing materials, which was created to help our partners stay competitive, meet their sales goals and grow their business.

To enhance the value of Action Pack, from March 1st, all of you renewing your subscription must take a course and pass an assessment to renew. You must take one specific Microsoft online course from the required Partner Learning Centre course list and complete its associated assessment with a minimum score of 70 per cent. To continue receiving Action Pack, partners must pass an assessment every two years. Courses are all 100% subsidised and take no more than 60 minutes.

What? This is just laughable. How on earth can anyone think that introducing a mandatory test, an additional requirement, increase the value of something?!? I have zero problem with these tests, but to come out and desribe them as value enhancing is the worst kind of pr/marketing talk one can imagine. If you compare before and after, it is obvious that before was better for customers, not by a large margin, but still. To then spin this as the reverse is just a joke. Please stop this strange way of talking about such changes, it really is suggesting that you believe your customers are not smart enough to distinguish between an improvement and a deprovement (if that word exists). Cheers!
