Microsoft Office Live Meeting Licenses for Partners

If you haven't used Microsoft Office Live Meeting, you really should. It can save hours of times commuting for short meetings and it supports video, software sharing and voice so you can get a pretty rich experience. If you want to be ubercool, it will even work with Microsoft Roundtable. I've had the opportunity to have a play with that gadget and the experience is Amazing. Anyway, here's the news:

New Offering to Partners: Live Meeting Licenses for Evaluation - On March 1, 2008 we will be offering Gold and Certified partners Office Live Meeting licenses for evaluation. Certified MSPP partners are granted 15 Live Meeting Professional named user licenses for use within our Certified Partner Conference Center. Gold MSPP partners will receive 30 Live Meeting Professional named user licenses for use within our Gold Partner Conference Center. Additional program information will be available on our Live Meeting Partner Page at http://partner.microsoft.com/officelivemeeting, on March 1^st.

Outlook Voice Access will be on my phone on Monday!

I popped for a meeting this afternoon and when I returned to my desk a hard copy of the Outlook Voice Access Quick Reference Guide had landed on my desk. It looks like Outlook Voice Access is being activated on my phone soon!

I'll keep you posted on how it goes next week. Some of my colleagues have had this for a while and by all accounts "it rocks"!

I'm most looking forward to using commands like "Clear My Calendar" :-)

Office Communications Server 2007 Beta - It's Live!

I've just been reading Mark Deakin's blog. Mark is the Product Manager for Unified Communications (That's Exchange Server, Office Communications Server, VoIP etc.) here at Microsoft in the UK. We've now made the beta public for Office Communications Server 2007, the successor to Live Communications Server.

I've been "dogfooding" the new client for the last few months and I love the new functionality, including the ability to add different locations and some of the new ways that you can organise your contacts. Most of all I'm looking forward to test driving RoundTable later this year.
