"WPF/E (codename)" is now "Silverlight"

It's true - we now have an official name that's much better than our previous codename (plus official graphics).  This was announced at NAB this morning.

You can find more information on our landing page on microsoft.com or on our press page also on microsoft.com.

RIA = Rich Internet Application NOT Rich Interactive Applications

You can't just take an industry wide understood acronym and change it.

Anybody know any applications which are not interactive?

Bad Microsoft. Very Bad.

# Silverlight to Replace Flash in TeacherTube.com

With the release of Silverlight, TeacherTube is interested in changing our technology from Flash 9 to Silverlight. The vast majority of school systems use Microsoft Servers.  We feel it is a natural fit for TeacherTube and Microsoft to work together to give school systems around the world a solution to bridging the digital gap between teachers and students.

How might we get Silverlight and TeacherTube together?
