It's a bird. No, it's a plane. No, what the heck is it?

I'm not sure if my grammar for the title of this post is correct. I offer my apology to those that I've offended (Eats, Shoots & Leaves is a great book).

Check out Blurb.com. It's a way to self-publish a book that contains practically anything. Based on the price list, it seems like a very economical way to do it. You download some software, add content, and the software sends that content to the blurb.com servers for publishing.

From an architectural perspective, what is blurb.com? Is it a website? Is it a service? Is it S+S or SaaS? Personally, I don't care. It's just plain cool. That fact alone makes me want to use it.

Part of my job is engaging in discussions about S+S, SaaS, and <insert Service-related term here>. It is my considered opinion that we spend too much time defining the differences between these concepts. The people at blurb probably don't care which bucket they fit into, and neither should we.
