Faaa-bulous Konfabulator

So after the rather negative tone of voice I took on yesterday's post, I felt obligated to post about 3 guys who with a little alchemy, produce Konfabulator.  I think I would term Konfabulator more as software art if I were to categorize it.

Why do I like this app so much, it does only what it says it does.  No more, no less, not to mention the eye candy it adds to  your desktop.  I have to admit after two years at Microsoft, I was going through withdrawals from my Linux days when almost weekly I would change things up and always felt like I had the coolest looking desktop around.

You can also check out Kapsules as kapsules.shellscape.org, which provides similar functionality with more language options (including VB.NET).

I had tried Desktop Sidebar, but the calendar widget kept losing the mapi connection and then I had to close Desktop Sidebar to use Outlook.... :(

I will give DesktopX a whirl, though I'm registered at wincustomize.com I never downloaded any of the apps beside objectdock.
