Drinking the Kool-Aid
I was a little surprised at recent headlines of Ballmer's visit to Australia when they reported a "stand-still" in .NET development. I haven't yet found an article giving me more context around the reponse, help me out if you have. I'm left wondering, with two differing versions of the .NET framework in active development, I'm trying to figure out where we've hit a wall, but hey, I'm an EVANGELIST.

In this article it would appear someone has gorged themselves on the Blue Kool-Aid, right?
Maybe. In the article, Interlink is a great case study where they were clear Java/UNIX pundits 2 years ago and switched 180 degrees to the MS Platform. How do you explain this?
I think the answer is simple and the C++ group coined the term, "It just works, IJW" and with a slight evangelical twist, "Its already there, IAT". So I'm saying the premise is not an earth shattering complex business plan, it's simple. With the exception of IBM, no other Software Vendor out there can provide the entire technology stack to run a business like Microsoft can under a familiar User Interface, MS Office. So why shop elsewhere? Got it?
Think about that for while and I'll follow this up with a better thought out premise. I'd love to hear your thoughts as well.
