WWF - more than just a special event for ISVs

So I've spent the morning taking in the last day of an early preview of my favorite recent MS acronym: WWF or better known as Windows Workflow Foundation.  Before I expound or blather, you decide on the correct adjective, I'll point you to the Web home of Windows Workflow: http://www.windowsworkflow.net or http://msdn.microsoft.com/windowsvista/building/workflow/default.aspx .

Windows Workflow Foundation, for its V1 release is focused squarely on enabling ISVs that have hacked out their own mini workflow engines over the years.  In many cases these engines have become too painful to maintain with each new release of their application.  Just as exciting are the two launch vehicles for Windows Workflow Foundation: Office 12 and WinFX which will ship with Windows Vista.  Get the rest of the technicals from the above sites or ping me.

Next week I'm in Austin, TX running a SQL Server 2005 event.  The event isn't quite full yet, so if you've been invited and are sitting on the fence, from my perspective a single day investment for an in place migration from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005, this lab can't be beat.

Cheers for now.
