On my home laptop I haven't yet installed Office 2007 because I'm still finalizing edits in the chapters of my VSTO for Mere Mortals book, which I've written using Word 2003. I was recently sent a PowerPoint presentation to review, but found that I couldn't open it because it was in the new PowerPoint 2007 file format. I had to install the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats, and then I could view it.

If you want to see a list of all the new file formats (.docx, ppsm, .xltm) and a mapping of what they mean, the link above has a full listing.
