What is the support for Virtualization for MOSS (Sharepoint 2007)

As the KB909840 , “Hardware virtualization support for SharePoint products and technologies.” It states: WSS v3 and MOSS are supported in production if they’re on Virtual Server 2005 R2 or later. Also KB897615 states how 3 rd party virtualization is not
