Office Developer Conference is over
The Microsoft Office Developer conference is over. I love doing these, I feed off the customer excitement, then crash the day after everyone goes home. The conference was a huge success and I had a great time meeting everyone. The file format track was packed all afternoon on Tuesday and it was great to see everyone stay until 6pm to learn about development with Open XML using WinFX. I got some great feedback on how we can improve the experience of working with Open XML files. By the time I left the party in Bellevue and got home it had been an 18 hour day.
Talking with customers reminds me so much why I love working for developers. The app team guys really enjoy seeing users working with their cool new Office features, but what really excites me is a customer who comes and tells me how he built his business on Office solutions.
Now its time to roll up my sleeves and get back to work on shipping Office 2007. I've got a backlog of email and questions from the conference to work through. If you have questions that you didn't get answered, drop me a line or go to the forums on openxmldeveloper.org.
Thanks everyone who attended!
