Some interesting stats on Web Site Defacements by OS and Web Server

Linux leads Windows by a wide margin.  It's interesting though that the synopsis is not that Windows has improved greatly from a web server security perspective, but rather, that people migrated from Windows to Linux and thus the sites are still attacked.

I got the link from Slashdot.  I didn't bother to look at the comments there because I pretty much can already guess what they say.  Check for yourself and form your own conclusion.

No, my friend, you don't have to worry about any giving MS credit for anything anytime soon.

And that is sad.  MS has made great strides since Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.

Well atleast since Windows 2003 and IIS 6.  There honestly were some issues with IIS 5 but there was a true effort to make IIS 6 the most secure web server possible.  This was a achieved and the track record is a great indicator of that.  See secunia.org.
