Google Taking Docs offline with Google Gears
Google is allowing users to edit documents offline now. This means more competition for Microsoft in both the online and Office World. The offline capability is currently limited to word processing documents but they do plan to add capablilities to edit Presentations and Spreadsheets offline. This is yet another stake in the ground in competing against Microsoft Office.
