Recently I came across a really cool live server called "Custom Domains". This service is currently evolving into "Windows Live Admin Center".
What does it do?!
You get an e-mail server for your custom domain for free! You can then create up to 500 mail accounts on this service, each with 5GB storage. Neat, isn't it? For universities and schools you can even get more accounts if you register in the free program "Windows Live @ EDU".

Windows Live Admin Center - so heißt das neue Service von Microsoft, mit dem Sie einen kostenlosen Mailserver
Does it support IMAP?
That's one thing gmail does (and I think they give you free domain mail as well) although their win mobile support via IMAP is a bit bad at the moment (apparently they are looking into it).

That's fantastic!
Is there any way to tie two live accounts together? If I have x domains, I'd like to be able to check mail all under one account, rather than having to keep switching live accounts.
Using it for a long time for my hfrmobile.com domain and works great!! (better than sprit.org's mail server ;-))
Verwende ich schon seit einer halben Ewigkeit (Jahre) für meine hfrmobile.com-Domain und funktioniert tadellos ;-)
I have my domain on namecheap.com....I made settings 1000 times but it's not working....can you tell me what I am doing wrong ? Google for my domain is working....but I can't make domains.live.com to work.... Your service is Pending DNS configuration. Please make the required DNS changes. I have made cname and all that....

if i already have live small business website, which is Microsoft... can I transfer only the internal mail handling to live custom domains?

Yes you can, you just need to change the MX record of the Domain Name Server (DNS) for your domain to a value you get at setup of Windows Live-Custom Domains.
