RSS Notifications and Email Alerts in Visual Studio Team System?

John Lawrence wants to know what kind of support for event notifications you would like to see in Visual Studio Team System (checkins, checkouts , bug state changes, etc).

"What would you like to see? RSS feeds? E-mail notifications? Messenger alerts? I’m not making any promises about what you’ll see in the final product but I’d love to hear what people outside of Microsoft would like to see."

Go! I can't convince them by myself. Add your vote before comments close on November 17.

I would totally like to see RSS. Messenger alerts would be cool too... but I think the best thing to suit everyone's needs is to have an API we could hook into to write our own stuff... i know VSS currently has one, but it's kinda clunky. Just my two cents.

Hi,
Please have RSS as default, but I would like to see email as a basic notification service as that is the least common denominator.

Keep the goodies coming!

Thanks,

The reason issue is the availability of an event interface in the IDE; we're programmers, we can handle the rest.

Rss feeds would be nice, but it shouldn't be so hard to create ourself if there is an api which publishes events for what's going on.
I would like something like the CIA website (http://cia.navi.cx/stats/project) so all info is easily found there.
