The Secret of the Starter Kits

I couldn't resist. I've been trying to showcase the ASP.NET Starter Kits for a while now, especially since their "1.0" release. However, I don't think I've ever managed to express it as well as Darren did: http://weblogs.asp.net/dneimke/posts/9253.aspx

Got COBOL?

Had a brief discussion with Bob Lair today of Intensity Software. They're the folk that work with Fujitsu on NetCobol. They have a version of IBuySpy Store written in COBOL. Worth looking at if you think VB is verbose. Another neat beast they've written

Sorry about no RSS, it's on the way.

Well, the ASP.NET Developer Center is one day old. I've already received two requests for RSS feeds, so someone must have read my blog entry. The RSS feeds are on the way, they should be in place early next week. I'll post here when they are available.

That "other" dev center

My other major activity at TechEd was bug-hunting to make certain the Visual J# Developer Center could launch on time. So, now there are nine developer centers. People have asked about the missing one . All I can say is watch the URL: http://msdn.microsoft.com/asp.net

Memories of TechEd, part II

Overall, I feel good-ish about TechEd. There were a lot of people there. D said it was a record attendance. Could this mean the recession/depression/slowdown is over? Dev Connections also seemed to have a larger attendance this year, compared to last.

Memories of TechEd, part I

I'm sitting in the Dallas/Fort Worth airport, waiting for 4:30am (for the whole sordid tale, see my other blog ). Time to start reminiscing about TechEd 2003. As is often the case at these things -- I didn't see many talks. They often hit me as overly

News for three of you

I haven't scanned too deeply into old posts, so I'm assuming no one has noticed/cares, so I'll post. For the three or four of you that care, the Visual J# Developer Center has launched! Here's your one stop center for all the VJ# information you need
