Visual Web Developer
Part of the new launch (you may have heard about it from about 2000 blog postings starting about midnight Pacific time) is the new Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition. This is the new, lightweight version of Visual Studio, tuned for Web development. Like Web Matrix, but with Intellisense, and many other VS niceties you've likely grown used to.
In addition, is a new starter kit -- the Personal Web Starter Kit. This lets you build a (wait for it) personal website, complete with photo albums, your resume and favourite links to share. It's also a great way to learn many of the new features of ASP.NET 2.0 in a real app. Just walking through the code it creates can teach a lot.
