Are you sure you were calling 1800flowers.com? It could have been a scam to get your credit card numbers. They may be able to get one or more of your account numbers then all they need is the card number you are currently using.

I never proffer any information to someone I've called other than my name. If I've done business with them, they should have all of my info. The last four digits of your card cannot be used by them to make a purchase, however, they can use that information as a means to obtain more data on you. How many other companies will give you access to your records by giving them the last four digits of your credit card? A lot, I'll bet. At least you didn't have a company offer to give YOUR personal information to you over the phone:

I think that you are really making this out to be more than it is. Remember, YOU called them back. They had a 888 number and answered the phone as 1-800 Flowers.com, right? Would you rather a company NOT have a fraud department and be able to use you credit card info to make purchases with it? Mistakes happen. Life goes on. Havent you ever made a mistake? Id be willing to bet you have.

There is a difference between mistakes happening and someone doing something to a point that effected someone else enough to have a law suit filed against them. Were any false charges put on your credit card through 1-800 Flowers? Did you have a problem with identity theft due to 1-800 Flowers? For Christ's sake, you did not order a nuclear bomb, you ordered flowers!!! Life is way to short.

WELL, I can tell you that I had much the same experience with 1800 flowers! The customer service rep took a defensive and RUDE approach even when they were in the wrong! Poor customer service makes you think twice about ordering anything that must be delivered by a certain date. In my case, I ordered flowers for a family member to be delivered on her birthday (which happened to be Valentines Day) as well. I ordered them well enough in advance where she would get them on time. GUESS WHAT? Nobody at 1800 flowers would answer the phone, nor return email messages for 2 days prior to the order delivery date! THAT should have been the first sign to cancel the order. THEY CLAIM 100% customer satisifaction! Well, that would have been to actually deliver the flowers as I paid for. MY daughter never received her flowers and when I finally got someone from customer service to take my call, there was no remorse for this incident. PARDON ME, what ever happened to the customer getting service? Rather than offer to go ahead and get the flowers expidited, she could not offer me ANY assurance that they would be received even a day after they were to be received. She suggested that I cancel my order... So, no flowers and no clue as to how to make the situation better, I WILL NEVER order anything from this company again. ANYONE else go thru this with this company?

to begin with there are 2 different floral companies with similar names...1800flowers, and 1800flowers.com. I feel that if you have an issue with the company you should try to resolve it through them before you blog it. That is just bad form. How is the company going to know what happened if you dont talk to them about it. I know that the person who you delt with was completley in the wrong, but does the company even know it happened. how can they correct it if you blog it and not talk to them. granted the agent you delt with sounded very unprofessional, but i can guarantee you that if you contact the company she will be reprimanded.
